1.And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in Gibeah, or in Ramah.
又对仆人说，我们可以到一个地方，或住在基比亚，或住在拉玛。
2.And his base was at Ramah, where his house was; there he was judge of Israel and there he made an altar to the Lord.

3.In Ramah there was a sound of weeping and great sorrow, Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be comforted for their loss.
在拉玛听见了声音，哀哭和大悲伤的声音；是拉结哭她的儿女，不肯受安慰，因为他们不在了。
4.Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in Ramah, his own city.
那时撒母耳已经死了，以色列众人为他哀哭，葬他在拉玛，就是在他本城里。
5.When David had fled and made his escape, he went to Samuel at Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him.
大卫逃避，来到拉玛见撒母耳，将扫罗向他所行的事述说了一遍。
6.And his return was to Ramah; for there was his house; and there he judged Israel; and there he built an altar unto the LORD.

7.Now Samuel died. And all Israel assembled and mourned for him, and they buried him in his house at Ramah.
撒母耳死了，以色列众人聚集，为他哀哭，将他葬在拉玛他自己的坟墓（原文作房屋）里。
8.Finally, he himself left for Ramah and went to the great cistern at Secu. And he asked, "Where are Samuel and David? "
然后扫罗自己往拉玛去，到了西沽的大井，问人说：“撒母耳和大卫在哪里呢？”
9.Then went he also to Ramah, and came to the great well that is in Secu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David?

10.And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and he lived in Tirzah.
巴沙听见，就停工不修筑拉玛了，仍住在得撒。
